Title:
36° 08' 45" N
114° 23' 49" W
Paper: 10x15"
Image: 9x14"
Block: 5 cherry blocks
Inks: Akua-Kolor
Paper: Stonehenge Cream
Edition size: 100
Process: Five block initially planned as a two block reduction but what the hey! life is too short not to experiment. I have been using Akua-Kolor inks for moku-hanga but decided to use the tack thickener and try rolling them and printing with the press. The colors are very pure, roll out thin and print very nicely.
Image: I am mesmerized by the experience of "flying" all over the world and I have begun to see art, mother earth art that is, everywhere I "fly." Slow or fast, zoom in and out, stay along the river or go off to the other side of the world... The theme "maps" immediately sent me flying over one of my favorite spots around these parts. Google Earth the coordinates and fly with me!
