Process: This is a traditional engraving on boxwood rounds.
Image: I started a "seed" series about five years ago. I have a two-seeds print and this one. I am planning to continue, off and on. Seeds are amazingly varied and come in all shapes and sizes. But the most amazing thing about them is the diverse ways that mother nature has engineered them to fall from the plant and propagate with help from birds and other critters, to stick on the ground and grow in situ, or to fly with the winds. In any case, they lay dormant waiting for just the right moment when humidity and light are just perfect to birth a tiny little plant. Amazing.
