Block: Cherry
Ink: Oil based, umber
Paper: BFK Light Buff
Process: Simple one-stage woodcut in one color. This is the place
where my father-in-law and his seven brothers grew up under the watchful
(and presumably tired) eye of Harry and Amanda Diener. For a spell after
that, one of the brothers lived there with his family and ran the farm
as a dairy. On the last family reunion the entire family visited the place,
now for sale. While there I felt the deep love that the family holds for
this place. Having been born in Cuba and raised in Spain, there is no home
place that I can return to and point to all the places where I frolicked
with my sibblings.
